Subtle Realities, Projektraum am Kronsberg, 2025

In their bachelor's project “Subtle Realities,” Zaya Brinkop employs drawing to develop a visual language that explores the theme of relationships. Over the past five months, they have engaged in an introspective process, examining close personal connections and translating the physical, emotional, and poetic dimensions of relating into their work. This journey has been a profound exploration of the relationships that nourish them, embracing their imperfections, nuances, and expansiveness.
In parallel, the project also investigates the creative process itself through writing and research. They examine the subtle forces that shape artistic production, reflecting on how these influences guide their practice. Through this process, they seek a deeper understanding—and perhaps an unlearning—of the ways in which these forces operate.
