Zayabrinkop

Zaya Brinkop (*2000) is a Mongolian-German, intercultural learner and multi-media artist based in Hannover, Germany. Having moved to Hannover from Beijing in 2016 in search of a better life, she recently completed her studies in Experimental Art at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Hannover, where she studied from 2020 to 2025.
Zaya’s work explores themes of subtle relationality, embodiment, and memory, using drawing and multi-media practices as tools for inquiry and connection. Her art delves into the complexities of human relationships, capturing the interplay between personal narratives and broader societal contexts. Through her projects, she examines the nuances of vulnerability, healing, and the often-overlooked emotional and sensorial dimensions of everyday life.
She envisions a humanity that engages more deeply with one another, fostering compassion and embracing the richness of shared experiences within a finite-resourced world. Her practice continues to explore how art can bridge the personal and the collective, offering space for presence, reflection, and dialogue.
Currently, Zaya is dedicated to un/learning and expanding her artistic practice with a mindful, process-oriented approach. She is open to future projects and collaborations that utilize art as a means to redefine social spaces and contribute to discussions on tolerance, inclusion, and relational understanding in an ever-diversifying society.
