Between Heaven and Earth
Between Heaven and Earth is a sculpture that mimics life through movement, using wind to animate its form as it dances in the green landscape of Hermannshof. Created in the summer semester of 2021 for a course on nature, the piece evolved under pandemic restrictions, with students initially meeting only online and uncertain if an exhibition would even occur. When they transitioned to in-person work, Between Heaven and Earth emerged as an expression of that shift—where digital planning gave way to physical reality. The piece embodies transformation, capturing the interplay between solitude and shared experience, art and nature.
